| Dave visited with renowned plantsman, Tony Avent, at his garden and nursery outside of Raleigh, NC. The garden is an expression of his personal taste for plants and his constant search for excellent plant material that will survive the brutally hot summers of the South and stretch the limits of cold tolerance. His taste for the exotic and uncommon can be seen everywhere, including the pages of his witty and informative mail order catalogs. Today we enjoyed Hostas, Arisaemas, Ferns, and the prairie native Baptisia.
