Look, Touch and Learn: Rose Hills Foundation Conservatory at The Huntington:
The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens was created by Henry Huntington, railroad magnate, in 1919. The Rose Hills Conservatory for Botanical Science, a 16,000 square foot botanical education center for children and their families, was opened in 2005. It is designed to engage and education middle school age children and adults. Just outside is the Bing Children's Garden, designed to stimulate exploration of nature and the Four Elements through interactive play.
You can visit the Conservatory along with the extensive
grounds and galleries Tuesday through Sunday. Tours are available by advance
reservation. The Huntington is closed Mondays.
