A much loved garden and nursery reborn: Western Hills Nursery.
When Lester Hawkins and Marshal Olbrich decided to move out of the city and build a garden that would become a living catalog for their groundbreaking nursery, they never realized that it would be so popular or start a new trend. Now, their model of garden, production, and sales has been termed the
"destination nursery." A place where unusual plants are showcased in a setting that encourages visitors to come from miles away to shop among growing examples of the plants available.
After a period of decline and closure, Western Hills is being restored and the nursery has again opened for business to the delight of plant lovers everywhere.
Check their website for current open times, special events and more information.
