Living Jewels of the Pond Garden: Water Lilies at Denver Botanic Garden.
Will Jones took Dave to see the huge collection of water lilies grown by the
Denver Botanic Garden in Denver, CO. The garden displays these hardy and tropical aquatic perennials in their water gardens that wind through every part of the 23-acre urban garden. Water lilies are very easy to grow in full sun in still water. They can even be grown in water filled containers on your patio or balcony!
You can view the collection of water plants at Denver Botanic Garden from May through October with your admission to the garden.

The sweet taste of the garden: harvesting Honey with Helene Marshall
Helene Marshall took Dave around to see how she gathers and bottles unique natural organic honeys at Marshall’s Farm Natural Honey. Each golden jar of honey is carefully extracted to retain all of the rich healthful benefits of collecting small batches of honey from such varied sources as orange groves to wildflower meadows to lavender fields.
With expert beekeeper husband, Spencer, Helene sells honey in select gourmet markets, farmers markets, The Ferry Building Market in San Francisco plus online.
