Blue Spruce Christmas Tree

A Living Christmas tree is more than just a holiday decoration; it is a living memento to treasure year after year of your happy holiday times with friends and family.
Here are  Dave’s Take Home Tips for selecting and caring for a Living Tree

  1. Choose a slow growing tree such as a Colorado Blue Spruce or Alberta Spruce.  These trees will live in containers fro years happily, and not outgrow your garden or patio.

  2. Ask your local independent nursery person about which type of tree is best for your garden.  Some living trees, such as pines, may grow too large too quickly for most suburban gardens.

  3. Water your new tree thoroughly before you bring it inside, then use ice cubes and a water mister to keep the tree moist while it is indoors.
