Dave shows Nick Smith how to select the best Living Christmas Tree |
Once the holidays are over, bring your tree outside and enjoy it in your garden or patio all summer. With some care, it will be holiday fresh and ready to bring you more happy memories next Christmas!
-
After the holidays, bring your living tree outdoors as soon as possible. Living trees cannot survive indoors in the dry, low light environment of the home.
-
Rinse the needles with water and give the tree a good drink. Water the tree every few days when the soil becomes dry to the touch.
-
Apply a liquid plant food every two weeks according to label directions to keep your living tree holiday fresh. If needle begin to lose their color, apply Chelated Iron.
-
Turn the tree regularly so that sunlight reaches all sides of the tree. Place the potted tree in a spot that receives at least 6 hours of direct sun per day.
